Accessibility Statement

Date updated: May 20, 2025

At Signus Solutions Inc., we are committed to making our platform accessible to all individuals, including people with disabilities. Our mission is to ensure that every person---regardless of ability---can independently access, use, and benefit from the Signus platform.

Commitment to Accessibility Standards

We strive to meet or exceed the requirements of applicable accessibility laws and standards, including but not limited to:

  • The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

  • The European Accessibility Act (EAA)

  • Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (U.S.)

  • The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA conformance at a minimum, and AAA where technically feasible and user-beneficial

Our accessibility initiatives are grounded in the principles of inclusive design and usability for people with a wide range of physical, sensory, cognitive, and neurological conditions.

Accessibility in Our Development Lifecycle

We integrate accessibility into every phase of our product development lifecycle:

1. Design Phase

  • Interfaces and user journeys are reviewed by accessibility-aware designers.

  • Components are planned to ensure sufficient color contrast, screen reader support, keyboard operability, and focus management.

  • We leverage ARIA roles and semantic HTML to support assistive technologies from the earliest prototypes.

2. Development Phase

  • Our engineering teams follow internal accessibility guidelines based on WCAG 2.2 AA/AAA checkpoints.

  • Code reviews include accessibility checks such as keyboard navigation, tab order integrity, and dynamic content announcements.

  • Components are tested for responsiveness and accessibility across screen sizes and orientations.

3. Automated Testing and Scanning

  • We use accessibility auditing tools including UserWay, Lighthouse, and WAVE to run regular automated scans across the platform.

  • These tools help us detect and address accessibility issues early in the development cycle.

  • For Signus-generated PDFs or downloadable materials, we ensure proper tagging, logical reading order, and descriptive text alternatives.
Note: This does not apply to documents uploaded by users for electronic signing, which may not be accessible.

4. Manual Testing

  • Screen reader testing is performed using technologies such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.

  • Keyboard-only navigation is tested across major user flows and modal dialogs.

  • Custom interactive components are verified to meet recognized accessibility behavior standards.

5. Training and Inclusive Culture

  • Employees involved in product, design, and QA receive accessibility training during onboarding and on a continuing basis.

  • Internal documentation and design systems incorporate accessible UI patterns and inclusive best practices.

  • We actively seek feedback from users with disabilities and incorporate that feedback into our product roadmap where feasible.

Ongoing Improvements

Accessibility is an evolving responsibility. We monitor changes in law, updates to WCAG, and the emergence of assistive technologies to guide continuous platform enhancements. We are also preparing for full compliance with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) by its 2025 enforcement date.
